My First Fairytale Story

This is my first “Fairytale Story”. In one of my psychology classes, our lecturer asked us to write our fairy tale story. :)
Hope you will like it.
Long long ago, when people believe in fairies, there is a legend going on in the Fairytale world : That by owning a fairy’s tail, the person can has his/her dreams come true whenever he/she wished for. This story has been passed down from generations to generations, until noone can remember who has ever seen a fairy. One fine day, when the first global warming happens in the Fairytale World, all the characters are struck with natural disasters like droughts and famines. At the deep end, the characters started to recall the legend and the word spreads fast. Soon a search for a fairy was commenced. Everyone was united as their only wish is to return the Fairytale World back to the normal state again.
After what seems like months of wild goose chase, a fairy looking gnome was spotted in the depths of a jungle by one of the seven dwarves. The dwarves then decided to capture the fairy themselves and not let others know about the hideout. However, Red Riding Hood actually overheard the conversation and then passed the message to the search group. Everyone was furious and agree to work together to capture the fairy before the dwarves do. And their first wish would be the punishment for the dwarves for being selfish.
As how coincidences always happen in fairytales, the dwarves and the search group actually arrived at the fairy’s place simultaneously. They started to squabble and fight and rushed towards the house in a chaotic manner. When the door of the house broke down, they saw a tiny fairy of the size of a thumb, lying down on a tiny couch, in the midst of drinking tea, looking at them, petrified. The witch got to the fairy first with her supreme dexterity. However, she dropped the fairy right after she got hold of it and stared at it. She then stared into the space for a long time while the rest try to pounce onto the fairy one by one (just like a football match) and they all reacted just like the witch did. The last person to look at the fairy is Thumbelina, who just managed to trot to the fairy’s house and saw, to her horror and greatest disappointment, that the fairy has no tail.
Everyone was devastated. They all froze for sometime, not knowing what to do. The fairy then made honey tea for everyone and coaxed everyone to relax and take a sip. After drinking, everyone started to come alive again, some wept in tears while others begged the fairy for forgiveness. After what seems like hours of begging, realizing of mistakes and feeling guilty, the group finally made a promise to the fairy before they departed. They promised that they will not count on other people to get their normal lives back again. That they will rely on themselves to rebuild their home ground.
And true enough, the group really lived up to the promise although it took many many years to rebuild their home ground. And this embarrassing encounter had also been passed down to the future generations as bedtime stories. However, as time passed, the details of the stories were distorted. Until a point where the global warming hit the Fairy Tale World the second time (which was a hundred years later), a search group was formed to look for the fairy with tail yet again. This is because the legend they heard was amended to a version that the Fairy did helped the characters to rebuild the nation, with her tail, in the end.
As the search group is formed, the grandchild of the previous legendary fairy, looked at the crystal ball and sighed “It just has to happen every alternate generation…”. After which, she started to prepare pots of honey and hot water. She then folded her tail so that it touched her torso, taped it down, and put on a tight fit costume so that her tail doesn’t show. When she was satisfied with her mirror reflection, she laid down on the same couch that her grandmother had laid on a hundred years back, and start drinking the honey tea while waiting for her guests to arrive.
